A professional address on a domain you own. Read and reply in webmail or connect your existing email app.
Send incoming mail to up to five addresses. Keep a copy in your mailbox, or use forwarding on its own.
After you sign in, a hosted mailbox on a verified domain opens in the web app. You can read, reply, and compose there.
Use standard, encrypted IMAP and SMTP connections. Find your server settings and mailbox credentials inside your account.
Add a domain you own. We show the MX, SPF, and DKIM records to publish, plus a DMARC record that is not required for the check to pass. The steps are in Domain setup.
For software and agents
POST /api/sendMail takes to, subject, text, and from. Send the key as Authorization: Bearer msn_… or X-Api-Key. Set from to an address on a verified domain you own.
POST /api/mcp is a JSON-RPC server, version 0.7.0. Tools include send_mail, list_inbox, get_message, and mark_read. An agent can call request_access with no key.
An agent key can register one HTTPS URL. A newly stored message sends a signed inbound.received POST. The inbox API lists threads, opens a thread, and searches subject, from, and body.
The same mailbox a person uses. The agent sends and reads over HTTPS.
Point an agent at https://mailservicenow.com/api/mcp. One HTTPS request, one JSON body. It can send mail, list the inbox, open a message, and mark it read.
The agent requests access with its domain and intended use, then verifies by email or DNS. Follow the returned account status; a ready account can obtain a key and set up its mailbox.
With the key, the agent sends through the API and reads replies from the inbox. It can also register a webhook so a new message is posted to your software. People signed in to the web app are not charged credits.
Replace the key placeholder with the key you were given. Do not commit a real key. Always set from to an address on a verified domain you own.
ok and messageId. An agent response also includes creditsRemaining.X-Api-Key: msn_… is the other accepted header. When that header is set, it is the only credential checked.curl -sS -X POST \

Mail Service Now is run by Rainmaker LLC in New Haven, CT.
Your mail is signed, so receiving inboxes can tell it came from your domain. The server name matches its reverse DNS, which is one of the checks other mail servers make.
Spam filtering can be turned on or off for an account or a domain. On, it keeps likely spam out of the inbox. Off, that mail is accepted with no spam action.
No. Any DNS host works. You publish the MX, SPF, and DKIM records we show you. If the domain is already on Cloudflare, those rows are a few copy-pastes, and the new mail records stay DNS-only. If Cloudflare Email Routing (or your other inbound provider) is still the preferred MX, turn it off or delete its MX rows. Delete every MX row for any other provider. Any other provider's MX row, at any priority, can still receive some of the domain's mail.
Yes, until you change MX. Adding the domain and reading the records does not move mail. Mail keeps arriving at your current host until the preferred MX is mail.mailservicenow.com. When you publish that record, inbound mail comes here instead, so change it when you mean to switch.
A full mailbox stores mail. You read it in webmail and in any IMAP app, and you send with SMTP. Forward-only relays each message to the addresses you list and does not open webmail or an IMAP login. Both stores a copy here and forwards one. Switching mode does not delete mail already stored.
Any mail app that can use IMAP and SMTP. Host mail.mailservicenow.com, IMAP port 993 with SSL/TLS, SMTP port 587 with STARTTLS. The username is the full address. Create an app password in the web app. It is shown once. Your sign-in password is not the mailbox password. Forward-only addresses do not get these settings.
An agent calls request_access with a username, domain, agent name, and intended use. It verifies an email code or a single-use DNS record, then follows the returned account status. A ready account can obtain an API key, shown once. A key alone does not publish mail DNS or create a mailbox. DNS verification may already add the domain, so check your domain list before setting up mail. Follow the agent access guide for the complete sequence.
